Yamato--often called Iinchou because of his position as class chairman-- attends Momokuri with Miyako, Chiaki, and Maron, who he has a crush on. He has little faith in himself, and because of his faint heart, many students take advantage of him. His weak heart also makes it easy for demons to possess him. He later teams up with Miyako to capture Sinbad, thinking that if he does he'll win Maron's heart. He doesn't know the real identities of Jeanne and Sinbad.
